We are now accepting applications for a Conservation Technician in
the Preservation Department of Milner Library at Illinois State
University.

The primary responsibility of this position is to perform
conservation treatments to the library's general collections as well
as client institutions for the Center for Preservation and
Conservation using established departmental guidelines and
professional best practices; to train and supervise the unit's
student workers, interns, and volunteers in basic conservation
practices; to assist the Conservator in planning and instructing the
department's training and education programs; to assist the
Conservator with performing specialized treatments on Milner
Library's Special Collections and the University Archives; to
monitor materials, tools, and equipment to ensure an adequate supply
of resources in the lab as well as their efficient use.
