The Horniman Museum in collaboration with the ICON Ethnography
Conservation Group, ICON Textile group and the Natural Sciences
Collections Association (NatSCA) are pleased to announce a one day
conference on Thursday 19 June 2014 at the Horniman Museum and
Gardens, 100 London Road, Forest Hill, London SE23 3PQ, UK.  Hair is
used in many shapes and forms.This conference will provide a broad
forum for different disciplines to talk about the conservation of
these intriguing museum objects.

Speakers include:

    The conservation-restoration of two human hair wigs belonging to
    a late 17th century Holy Child from Spain/Naples(?) and an 18th
    century Holy Child from Spain, sculptures from the Musee d'art
    et d'histoire de Chaumont, France.
