Request for Conservator's CV's
AOC Archaeology Group

AOC Archaeology Group is one of the longest-established
archaeological companies in Britain. The company was formed in 1991
in response to changes in planning regulations which led to a growth
in developer-funded archaeological work. The business quickly
expanded from a base in Scotland into England and the company now
has a network of offices across the UK.

We have a well-established conservation laboratory in our Edinburgh
Office, one of only a few commercial set-ups in the British Isles.
Our clients include heritage organisations, museums, regional
councils and private individuals throughout Britain. The
conservation practice is managed by a PACR Accredited
Conservator-Restorer and is listed on the Conservation Register.

Our laboratories are fully equipped to deal with archaeological,
historical and modern material. In-house conservation facilities
include x-radiography, air-abrasion, and freeze drying. We also
carry out conservation work on outdoor sculpture and monuments, as
well as on preventive conservation projects.

Located just outside Edinburgh we work in our own premises and also
carry out projects throughout Scotland, and further afield.

This is a call for CV's from experienced conservators with a range
of skills who may be available in the coming months for short term
project work, or to work full time on short fixed term contracts to
cover maternity leave. We are looking for conservation skills in
the following disciplines:

    Archaeological
    Social history
    Ceramics
    Paper

As we have a wide variety of projects active at any one time and
require a diverse array of conservation skills we would welcome CV
drops from conservators with experience in other disciplines too.

If interested please send your CV, indicating your availability from
early April - August 2014 by email to our HR Officer Karen McEwan
