Conservator Collections People Stories Project Horniman Museum and Gardens Fixed term until 31 March 2015 Salary: Grade E UKP25,710 per annum Hours: 35 hrs per week (worked over 5 days per week) Ref: CMSP2.14 We seek an enthusiastic and experienced Conservator to assist with the conservation and preparation of objects from the Anthropology collection as part of the Collections People Stories project funded by the Arts Council England Renaissance Major Grant Programme. This is an excellent opportunity to work with the Collections Conservation post will be based mainly at the Horniman Study Collections Centre at North Greenwich. Applicants should have a relevant degree or equivalent qualification and a track record of post-qualification practical experience which encompasses the care, documentation and treatment of a wide-range of organic and inorganic objects in a museum environment. The ability to work to deadlines while maintaining high standards and to be flexible in working as part of a team or in isolation, are also essential to this post.
