RFID tags

From: Jake Benson <boundbyhand<-a>

It has been some time since the DistList last discussed RFID and
other forms of intelligent data tags. The last few years have seen
further technological advancements from tiny chips that can be
adhered to cultural heritage materials with a reversible adhesive,
to even "chipless" forms. Does anyone here have experience
implementing an RFID or other intelligent data tag system that meets
preservation standards? Even better, does anyone have experience
implementing such tags for manuscript collections who would be
willing to offer any tips, advice, and other insight?
