Subject: Hugh Phibbs retires
Hugh Phibbs, Coordinator of Preservation Services, is retiring from the National Gallery of Art, but not the field, after 38 years of service in the Conservation Division. Hugh has been a generous, inspiring colleague and enthusiastic teacher to many of us, offering helpful advice on the preservation of works on paper and photographs. To celebrate his many contributions to our field, we are gathering pictures and stories about Hugh to be compiled in a scrapbook to present to him at his retirement party.
