Subject: Publication: Surveying the conservation landscape
The Welsh Government have recently published a report which looks at how museums, archives and libraries in Wales can work together to care for documentary collections. The report identifies strategic priorities for conservation and collections care in Wales. These include: Defining and communicating a national strategy for conservation of documentary collections with the sector Developing a set of nationally agreed strategic principles for conservation and preservation Developing a scheme to encourage leadership within the conservation sector The report was commissioned by National Library Wales and CyMAL: Museums Archives and Libraries Wales to update recommendations from the 2000 Lisc (Wales) report 'The Future of our Recorded Past'. The report's author Jane Henderson is a Senior Lecturer in Conservation and Collections Care at Cardiff University where she teaches on the BSc and MSc degrees.
