Training day on adhesives and their applications
    for Conservators and other interested professionals

An exciting opportunity to participate in this training day on the
use of adhesives and to see and listen to some of the top
practitioners in their field.

Delegates will be able to see demonstrations and learn more about
the ageing properties of Lascaux on paper and leather, using Klucel
G to consolidate and repair mould damaged documents and adhesive
choices for coating remoistenable tissue.

This training day is a great opportunity for Conservators to meet,
learn, network and swap ideas.

This training event is strictly limited to 15 places on a first come
first serve basis.

Programme:

    10.30 - 11.00   Arrival, Registration and Refreshments

    11.00 - 11.45   Investigating the ageing properties of Lascaux
                    303 HV and 498 HV on paper and leather
                        Mary French

    11.45 - 12.30   Using Klucel G to consolidate and repair mould
                    damaged documents
                        Shirley Jones (Practical demonstration)

    12.30 - 1.30    Lunch - Gladstone Library (St. Deiniol's) not
                    included

    1.30 - 2.15     "A protein journey": Adhesive choices for
                    coating remoistenable tissue
                        Antoinette Curtis (Practical demonstration)

    2.15 - 3.30     Ask the Experts: An opportunity to pose your
                    questions to each of today's speakers (Question
                    and answer session). This session will include:
                    Mark Allen--Sticky problems: Adhesives used in
                    Bookbinding

    3.30 - 4pm      Refreshments and close of training day
