Full Time; 37 hours a week

Salary Band UKP24,000 - 28,000 per annum

Birmingham Museums Trust (BMT) currently has a vacancy for an
experienced, organised and enthusiastic conservator.

The post holder will help to provide a comprehensive preventive
conservation service for the Trust, in collaboration with other
museum teams, and will promote best practices for the long term
preservation of the collections

The core work programme will be preventive, leading on Benchmarks
for Collections Care and the telemetric monitoring systems for BMT.
The post will also undertake independent interventive conservation
work on objects required for the exhibition programming across BMT
sites

The successful candidate will have a recognised professional
qualification in conservation with practical experience in museum or
heritage collections care or preventive conservation as well as
demonstrate practical skills in the conservation of materials.  You
will be a good team player, with the ability to work independently.
