University of Cambridge Museums (UCM) in cooperation with the
Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands, the British Museum,
Museum of London and the Institute of Conservation (Icon) is
organising a one day seminar:

    Risk Management in Collections Care

This one day seminar will explore a risk-based approach to
collections care and application of risk management methodology in
practice.

The seminar will include:

    Lecture by Agnes Brokerhof about the application of risk
    management in the cultural heritage field.  She will discuss how
    heritage organisations can use this to prioritise their limited
    resources and reduce the risks that have the greatest impact on
    collections preservation.

    Risk assessment exercise where participants will have an
    opportunity to apply the principles of risk management in
    practice and discuss issues in collections care such as
    strategic planning and prioritisation.

    Lecture by Dr Anna Bulow presenting the application and
    long-term benefits of risk assessment as well as risk management
    within a large institution.
