This Talk is open to all, not just members of IIC (the IIC AGM
itself is reserved for members of IIC) so do please join us.

De Wain Valentine is an American minimalist sculptor, born in 1936,
who, often associated with the Light and Space movement in the
1960s, is best known for his translucent glass, fibreglass and cast
polyester resin sculptures that have slick surfaces suggestive of
machine-made objects.

There are several conservation issues associated with the materials
and production of De Wain Valentine's work and Tom Learner's
illustrated talk outlines some of these and expands on the research
and conservation practice that have come out of this.
