The Werner Gundersheimer Conservation Lab at the Folger Shakespeare
Library is pleased to announce the addition of Adrienne Bell to the
staff in the position of Book Conservator as of October 28, 2013.

Adrienne has been active in Conservation since she obtained her
Master's in Library and Information Sciences, specializing in
Preservation Management, from the University of Pittsburgh in 2003.
In 2004, Adrienne joined the staff at Etherington Conservation
Services, starting as a Conservation Technician and working her way
up to Associate Rare Books Conservator over the course of 8 years.
In addition to her responsibilities as a Conservator at Etherington,
Adrienne served at the Field Services Representative, assisting
clients in handling preservation concerns, doing site visits, and
representing the company at professional conferences. In 2010 and
2011, Adrienne completed two four month long professional
internships at Johns Hopkins University and the Folger Shakespeare
Library. In 2012, Adrienne began work in the Dept of Conservation
and Preservation at Johns Hopkins University as their Preservation
Librarian, focusing predominantly on overhauling their disaster
plan, instituting an environmental monitoring program, and
conducting care and handling training sessions for library staff.
During this time, Adrienne also began working as a conservator in
private practice during her spare time, performing treatments for a
variety of clients.
