Subject: Workshop on synchrotron techniques
"IPANEMA 2011: Synchrotron radiation for ancient materials" Auditorium Bloch (located at CEA L'Orme des Merisiers, next to SOLEIL synchrotron) France January 17-18, 2011 The 2-day workshop is targeted to scientists from archaeology, palaeontology, conservation and past environments sciences, either already using synchrotron techniques, interested in dwelling on them or willing to participate to the setting-up of the IPANEMA European platform at SOLEIL. It is organized as a satellite event of the Soleil Users' Meeting 2011. The program includes plenary lectures and scientific presentations of the latest results in the field from experiments performed at the SOLEIL beamlines and at other synchrotron facilities. Presentations and discussions will be centered on key developments of IPANEMA, including the PUMA beamline. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss methodological developments for the community during a dedicated round table. Abstract submission for poster presentation and registration remains open until December 31, 2010.
