Heritage Conservation Centre, Singapore, an institution of the
National Heritage Board of Singapore is recruiting a Senior
Conservator in the specialised areas of paintings conservation and
heading the paintings conservation section (1 position).

You will be working in the first purpose-built Heritage Conservation
Centre in Southeast Asia with the opportunity to conserve
collections of the following National Heritage Board (NHB).These
collections comprising works of the Nanyang style, modern and
contemporary art, focusing on South East Asia, as well as paintings
from the Straits Settlement period, consisting mainly of life size
portraits and topographical landscapes of Singapore and the
neighbouring region. You will also coordinate and participate in
preventive conservation projects and exhibition planning teams from
the Asian Civilisations Museum, National Museum of Singapore,
Singapore Art Museum / 8Q and The Peranakan Museum.

If you are a graduate from a recognised conservation training
programme, with at least 8 or more years of relevant practical work
experience in a museum or similar institutions. Besides being well
versed in various practical paintings conservation experience and
knowledge, you should have experience in managing and leading a team
of conservation staff as well as coaching and guiding staff. You
should be able to communicate effectively in English. In addition,
you should be a disciplined and self-motivated individual, a good
team player but also able to work independently. Ability to adapt
quickly to a diverse environment is also required.

The standard contract duration is based on minimum of 2 + 1 years.
This is however negotiable. An attractive remuneration, relocation
