Advanced fellowship in objects conservation Sherman Fairchild Fellow Museum of Fine Arts, Boston The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston seeks applicants for an advanced level fellowship in Objects Conservation, funded by the Fairchild Foundation. The appointment is for two years and may be extended for an additional six months. The collections at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, include archaeological materials, American and European sculpture and decorative arts, African, Oceanic and Asian objects and sculpture, as well as contemporary works. The Fairchild Fellow will have the opportunity for in-depth examination and treatment of artworks and to participate in a wide range of conservation activities with conservators, conservation scientists, collections care specialists and curators. Fellows are encouraged to carry out a publishable research project. Applicants must have a master's degree in conservation from a recognized program. Compensation includes salary and travel allowance, in addition to a generous benefits package.
