Textiles Conservator
Level P01

Salary range A$51,254 - A$62,902 per annum plus superannuation.

    Artlab Australia is seeking a Textiles Conservator for a
    temporary period of 12 months who will provide textile
    conservation services to a broad range of clients, collections
    and individual items. This interesting and challenging position
    will involve treatment, research, storage, display and
    documentation of complex textile items.

    You will also participate in the delivery of community access
    and public education programs about the care of textiles.

    A degree in materials conservation (or equivalent) specialising
    in textiles conservation is essential.

    A relevant degree or equivalent in fine arts, art history,
    science and/or collection management is desirable.

    temporary period of 12 months who will provide core preventive
    conservation services to a broad range of clients, collections
    and individual items. This interesting and challenging position
    will involve risk analysis, disaster preparedness, environmental
    monitoring and integrated pest management.

    You will also research, document and implement new technologies
    and processes to help support the long term care of collections;
    as well as participate in the delivery of public education and
    training programs.

    A degree in materials conservation (or equivalent) or cultural
    heritage management is essential.

    A relevant degree or equivalent in fine arts, art history,
    science and/or statistics is desirable.
