Source for wool felt

Specialist wool felts for drying paper are usually made to fit a
specific paper machine. There is not much call for them nowadays and
they are hideously expensive.Have you thought of buying 100% wool
blankets (Surplus Army Blankets?) and cutting to size or making
your own felts from degreased sheep's wool?  A true felt works like
a dream and may well be worth the effort as it would last a life
time.
