At Tate, the world's leading centre for display, interpretation and
study of British, modern and contemporary art, we enjoy a national
and international profile and reputation for excellence. We welcome
seven million visitors every year, impressing them with a unique
programme of displays, exhibitions, events and learning.

At the heart of Tate is the Collection, comprising some 67,000 works
of British art from the 16th century to the present day,
international modern and contemporary art. Our Conservation
department is responsible for providing specialist conservation
services across all four Tate galleries. We bring excellence and
innovation to the care of Tate's Collection, while preventing damage
and deterioration of both nationally respected and internationally
renowned pieces.

You'll coordinate the operational planning and management within the
Conservation department, focusing on either Paper and
Paintings/Frames or Sculpture and Time-Based Media. This will
involve direct line management of staff, while overseeing the studio
and project teams to ensure safety and efficiency which are of
paramount importance. By working closely with the Planning Manager

projects, looking at the current and future needs of the Collection.
A key objective is also supporting the care and use of the
Collection.

About you: With a museum or gallery background, you'll have a
professional qualification (or equivalent) in Conservation with
experience within your specialism. You're also an experienced
manager, able to instil a culture of teamwork and common purpose,
especially when managing change. With excellent verbal and written

project manager, numerate, results-focused and a clear thinker. You
also have experience of budget management as well as proven IT
skills.
