A fantastic opportunity to contribute to an innovative research
project. Here is your chance to play a pivotal role in the
AHRC/EPSRC Science and Heritage Programme project, "Collections
Demography: On Dynamic Evolution of Populations of Objects". This
ambitious three-year project is led by the Centre for Sustainable
Heritage at University College London (UCL), with collaboration from
The National Archives, University of East Anglia, English Heritage
and The Library of Congress, USA.

The aim is to develop a holistic understanding of the impact of
environmental conditions, material properties and use on archival
and library collections. Working closely with other contributors,
you'll be responsible for a range of key outputs, including: a
theoretical map of collection values; a value framework in relation
to material change; value-based collection surveys; and research and
statistical data on the use of archival collections. About you
Qualified to postgraduate level in Conservation, Heritage Science,
Social Science, Heritage Studies or Collections Management, you'll
combine excellent research skills with the imagination to create
effective public engagement events. Key to your success will be the
ability to work collaboratively in order to deliver high-quality
outcomes within tight deadlines. You will also need advanced IT
skills, plus experience of statistical evaluation and manipulating
data sets. About us
