Museum Specialist (Collections Care Trainer)
Administrative Officer (Disaster Preparedness Coordinator)

The North Carolina Connecting to Collections initiative is hiring
for two positions to work in the North Carolina Department of
Cultural Resources.  These positions are funded by an IMLS grant and
are for a multi-year project.  The positions themselves are for two
years each.

The Museum Specialist (working title Collections Care Trainer) will
train staff and volunteers of cultural heritage institutions in a
variety of conservation techniques related to three-dimensional
objects care. This position is part-time, 30 hours a week at $15 per
hour.

The Administrative Officer (working title Disaster Preparedness
Coordinator) will work with institutions to develop disaster plans,
form networks of response teams, and promote awareness of the
importance of disaster preparedness.  This position is full-time at
$40,000 per year.
