Conference The impact of the indoor environment on the preservation of our movable heritage Science Gallery PACCAR Theatre Trinity College Dublin, Ireland 8-9 November 2010 Pre-conference field trip options of Georgian Dublin, or Newgrange and the Boyne Valley, on 7 November 2010 TCD Library and Department of Geology are hosting the final conference of the European Science Foundation action COST D42, entitled: The impact of the indoor environment on the preservation of our movable heritage. 26 countries have been involved in the Action, undertaking field and laboratory research into indoor environmental conditions, materials technology, chemical analysis and standardization. The Conference focuses on the chemical impact of pollutants on cultural artifacts, and will provide a platform to share the results with a wider community and to strengthen and promote continued global research aimed at mitigating against the environmental risks that threaten our heritage.
