American Museum of Natural History, New York

The Division of Anthropology at the American Museum of Natural
History seeks to hire an Associate Conservator of objects.

Responsibilities will include: examination, documentation and
treatment of a wide variety of cultural objects, primarily for loan
and exhibition, as well as assisting in general conservation
activities such as climate and pest monitoring, mount and packing
design, technical studies, and supervision of interns.

Successful candidate must have excellent communication,
documentation and hand skills, as well as be highly organized and
efficient.

Minimum requirement is degree from recognized graduate level
conservation training program, plus at least five years work
experience in archeological/ethnographic objects conservation.

Excellent benefits, salary commensurate with experience.

This is a permanent position, to be filled in the early fall.
