Permanent, full-time position.

Salary range: $48,178-$61,038/year
Deadline for applications:  July 9, 2010

Reporting to the Manager of Collections, and working in accordance
to the Glenbow Museum Conservation Policy, the successful applicant
will be  responsible for the conservation and preventive care of
paintings and sculpture in storage, on exhibition and on loan.  The
Paintings/Sculpture conservator also provides training, advice and
assistance to other staff, and advice to the public regarding the
conservation of artifacts including paintings, sculpture, and
decorative art.

Qualifications

    Master's degree in Art Conservation (Paintings) or equivalent.

    4-5 years experience in paintings conservation, preferably with
    experience in the conservation of sculpture and objects.

    WHMIS Training.

    Experience in photography and digital image documentation.

    Accreditation (or willingness to work towards accreditation) in
    the Canadian Association of Professional Conservators (CAPC).
