Storing fireworks

From: Mark Anderson <manderson<-at->

I have a question about storing old fireworks and flares. They were
previously placed inside of two tool boxes for storage but this does
not appear to be the most appropriate method for storing them. The
flares are railroad flares from the 1930s to the 1970s whilst the
fireworks appear to be 1930s but have no known date of origin. From
what I know previously they should be kept in a cool dry place.
Would it be acceptable to place them in a freezer? Any suggestions
on the storage of such materials would be most appreciated.
