The Educational Study Trip IV in Japan
6-18 March 2011

I am pleased to announce that the 4th Educational Study Trip will be
taken place in March 2011. The destination is Japan and this
intensive trip consists of 13 days (6-18 March, 2011) in Tokyo,
Fukui, Nagoya and Kyoto. Objectives for this trip are to provide the
opportunity to understand Japanese papermaking and printmaking.

The participants will acquire deep knowledge on 1) characteristics
of Japanese paper through a papermaking workshop and visits to
various papermaking mills, 2) use of Japanese paper (e.g. Japanese
prints, hanging scrolls) and 3) Japanese woodblock printing
techniques and materials (e.g. use of Japanese paper and sizing)
through a workshop. The tour also provides a unique experience in
Japanese culture and life style by travelling around countryside.

For further information and booking, please contact Megumi Mizumura

your company/institute if appropriate, and name of your country of
residence.
