d-Limonene

A product containing d-Limonene has been proposed as an agent in the
removal of an asphaltic material from a historic sandstone building.
The material (a road base prime coat known as MC-30) has also
impacted the historic plaster. An effective removal procedure has
been worked out, but we would be interested to know if anyone has
had experience--good or (especially) otherwise--with d-limonene in
such an application.
