Please allow me to mention another resource for artists, art historians, conservators, conservation scientists, curators, and other interested people: The Art Materials Information and Education Network <URL:http://www.AMIEN.org> is a part of the Education Department of the Intermuseum Conservation Association (ICA) <URL:http://www.ica-artconservation.org> The ICA is America's oldest regional art conservation laboratory. AMIEN was founded to provide free, unbiased information about art materials--we accept no advertising, do not promote or recommend specific brands of art materials, and do not promote an art-making aesthetic. Access to the website is free, for reading amongst the thousands of posts; readers who want to ask questions may register as Members (free), and then may post (also free). In 2009, there were more than 195,000 visits to AMIEN, and we average 10 - 20 posted questions per day. There are nearly 1,000 registered Members. I invite you to visit the site, Mark Gottsegen Administrator, AMIEN/Materials Research Director, ICA *** Conservation DistList Instance 23:39 Distributed: Friday, April 9, 2010 Message Id: cdl-23-39-006 ***Received on Monday, 5 April, 2010
