Conservator/Project Manager Conservation Solutions, Inc (CSI) Conservation Solutions, Inc (CSI) is a unique, full service, solutions-oriented conservation firm with extensive expertise in the analysis and treatment of museum and historic artifacts, structures and monuments. We have offices in the Washington, DC metro area and Santa Fe, NM. The current position is located in our Washington Metro office. Information on Conservation Solutions, Inc. can be found at <URL:http://www.conservationsolution.com> Description: The Conservator/Project Manager is responsible for guaranteeing the smooth, successful and profitable progress of each of our projects in any phase, from start-up through completion. Mission: To coordinate and manage in-house staff and/or subcontracted firms while maintaining the highest quality of work possible and the most efficient use of resources needed to complete the project within the allotted schedule and budget. Specific Responsibilities/Duties (Including but not limited to): Administration Estimating Budget development Contract and insurance coordination (with financial manager) Work scheduling Schedule of values billing Sub-contract invoices Coordination Scheduling Logistics Materials Manpower planning and organization Safety planning and implementation Sub-contractor and in-house staffing plans Oversight Quality control Material research and selection Daily report forms Coordination with the client's project manager Attend weekly job meetings Treatment implementation Perform and direct masonry/stone cleaning, repairs and consolidation treatments Perform and direct treatments on metal sculptures and industrial artifacts Perform and direct other conservation work Documentation Photographic documentation as per specifications Work with Project assistant Write treatment reports Prepare final report--work with project assistant Contribute to the development of the company Foster client relationships and ensure they are confident in our work Assist in preparation of proposals and marketing materials Research, write, and present papers in professional conferences and journals Studio/Office Organization and Archives Maintain image files and back-ups Upkeep of project files, reports and binders Maintain libraries Perform other duties as needed Conservation Solutions, Inc. provides an excellent package of salary and benefits designed to encourage the stability and growth of our staff.
