Subject: Cleaning color slides
I am looking for a way to clean colour films and slides as 1-1-1 trichloroethane and carbon tetrachloride are no longer available. I found some solvents to replace them through a web research but I do not have any experience with them in this application. They are pure solvents or commercial solutions as follow: Perchloroethylene (tetrachloroethylene), isopropyl alcohol, decafluoropentane (Polysolv 4310), heptane+toluene, heptane+ligroane, Hydrotreated Naptha, Isopar G Naptha, Exxsol D3135 Naphtha, Soltrol 100, 3M Novec Engineered Fluid HFE-8200. If any of you know more about this it would be helpful. I am more interested in pure solvents as commercial ones (American for most of them) will be more difficult to order from France.
