Icon Internship in Conservation of Stone
6 months June- November 2010

Educational Stipend of UKP15,000 pa: pro-rata

Icon--the Institute of Conservation--in partnership with Nicolas
Boyes Stone Conservation is offering a 6-months paid internship in
Stone Conservation based at the Rosslyn Chapel project near
Edinburgh.

Examination and consolidation of sculptural elements of the
decorated interior and exterior of the Chapel form the bulk of the
work programme for this internship. You do not need to have a
qualification in conservation to apply; you must however be able to
demonstrate good hand-craft skills, preferably working with stone or
other inorganic materials, and have some knowledge of or experience
in the field of conservation. A keen interest in buildings, stone
and conservation in general will be an advantage.

Information on this, forthcoming other placements and details of
eligibility can be found on the Icon website at

    <URL:http://www.icon.org.uk>

Apply using the form available on the Interns page there. Closing
date: April 16, 2010
