AIA Site Preservation Award: Call for Nominations Call for Nominations Archaeological Institute of America's Best Practices in Site Preservation Awards The Archaeological Institute of America's Best Practices in Site Preservation Awards are presented to groups or projects recognized by their peers for doing exemplary work. Nomination: Please nominate deserving projects on the AIA's website <URL:http://www.archaeological.org/webinfo.php?page=10559> Submission: Nominations for this award should be submitted to AIA's Site Preservation Program Coordinator, Meredith Anderson, at manderson<-at->aia<.>bu<.>edu or by mail to Site Preservation Award Program, C/O Meredith Anderson, Archaeological Institute of America, 656 Beacon Street, 6th Floor, Boston, MA 02215 (electronic submission is preferred). Deadline: No nominations will be accepted after September 30, 2010. Early submissions encouraged. Identification of Best Practices: Winners will be selected by a committee of professional archaeologists, conservators, and heritage specialists before the AIA's Annual Meeting in January 2011. The Award: A $5000 grant will be awarded to the winners to further their best practices in site preservation. Winners will also benefit from publicity for their projects through the AIA.
