Conservation Officer Collections Conservation and Care Salary range UKP25,203 - UKP27,826 Full-time permanent post The Horniman Museum is offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic objects conservator to work in the Collections Conservation and Care Section. The Section is responsible for the conservation and care of the Museum's collections of Anthropology, Musical Instruments and Natural History. Currently the section is conserving and preparing objects for two new temporary exhibitions, one focusing on Dance in Bali, the other an exhibition in association with Olympic year called 'The Body Adorned', along with ongoing work towards the Review of the Environmental Control Strategic Study carried out in 1992. Applicants should have a good range of post-qualification practical experience which encompasses the care, documentation and treatment of a wide-range of organic and inorganic objects in a museum environment.
