Painting conservator and Paper conservator Orientalist Museum, Doha, Qatar Orientalist Museum in Doha has opportunities for painting and works of art on paper conservators with several years experience to undertake practical conservation work on a wide range of materials. Successful candidates may be required to work with a range of materials, so the knowledge of materials other than those from specialist areas would be an advantage. A recognized conservation qualification and knowledge of current conservation practices and methods is essential. Museum and installation experience is desirable. The candidate will work on a wide range of modern and contemporary works and participate in all departmental activities including analysis and treatment of collection materials, preparation of works for exhibition and loan. Your work will be focused heavily on treatments and on administration and documentation, will require coordination of work flow and some training of support staff and apprentices.
