Removing oil from palm leaf manuscripts

One of my master students is writing a thesis on the preservation of
palm leaf manuscripts based on a collection at the Royal Library in
Denmark. Due to a previous treatment with oil these palm leaves now
stick together and cannot be read.

There is some older literature on the subject, but my student is
looking for new articles and maybe unpublished material relating to
the preservation of palm leaf manuscripts in general and suggestions
of how to remove the oil in particular.
