Call for CAC Awards Nominations The deadline has also been extended to Sunday, February 28,2010 The Canadian Association for Conservation Grants and Awards Committee is extending the deadlines for the 2010 Charles Mervyn Ruggles Award and the 2010 Emerging Conservator Award, to Sunday, February 28, 2010. If you know of a colleague who has been a mentor and outstanding contributor to the fine art conservation profession in Canada, please consider nominating that person for a Charles Mervyn Ruggles Award. How about a Canadian student who deserves national recognition for excelling in his/her studies? That person may be the perfect candidate for an Emerging Conservator Award. Recipients of these Awards will be celebrated at the 2010 CAC Annual Conference. Nominees must be members in good standing of the CAC and have made an outstanding contribution to the profession or field of study. Posthumous nominations may be considered for the Ruggles Award; providing the nominee was a member of CAC during his/her career. Details and nomination forms are available on the CAC website, or hardcopies may be requested from the CAC office. If you are a CAC member, traveling from outside of Ontario, and you didn't receive a grant last year, you are eligible to receive financial assistance for transportation and accommodations to attend the Conference and/or Workshop.
