Subject: CeROArt publication and symposium
The CeROArt review <URL:http://www.ceroart.org> confirms its project to publish a special number devoted to first articles from graduates in conservation-restoration next autumn. Those articles will focus on cases, practical achievements or studies presented to Graduation Jury in different European schools. The publication will be prefaced by Mr Paul Philippot. So far, have confirmed their participation: Institut National du Patrimoine (Paris), Ecole d'Avignon, Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Tours, Ecole Superieure des Arts audio-visuels La Cambre, Ecole Superieure des Arts Saint-Luc de Liege, Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts, Escola das Artes Catolica Portuguesa, SRAL, Stichting restauratie atelier Limburg in Maastricht, Universite d'Amsterdam, Centre europeen d'archeometrie We are still awaiting confirmation from Germany, Switzerland and United Kingdom. Immediately afterwards, a European Conference of young restorers will be launched. It will be held in Brussels, the third week of November 2011. Madam Myriam Serck-Dewaide, IRPA Director, and Ms. Joyce Stoner from Delaware University, agreed to co-chair it. We hope that these two initiatives will encourage the future graduates to publish, share and assume the role the Bologna curriculum assigns to them: being confident practitioners and scientists regarding communication modes and other academic cursus. Moreover, that is a unique opportunity for teachers from various training, to meet and share information and knowledge. We remain open to any other participants till the end of the month.
