The Picture Restorer

Re-launch ofThe Picture Restorer in January 2010

The Picture Restorer is the journal for the British Association of
Paintings Conservator-Restorers (BAPCR). Published twice yearly, it
is the only British journal focusing specifically on the
Conservation of Paintings. Re-launched under a new editorial team,
we hope to encourage the exchange of ideas in the conservation
community, to give a practical bias to our features, and to
emphasise the human aspect of the profession by talking to
individuals about their work.

Regular features include articles based on the BAPCR programme of
lectures, held four times a year at the Art Worker's Guild in
London; discussions of new materials; practical ideas on techniques,
framing and packing; interviews with conservators; news from the
postgraduate training courses in the UK; and comprehensive Reviews
and Listings.

The BAPCR membership fee is UKP20 Students (first year free) / UKP45
Associate/ UKP70 Fellow. This includes 2 journals a year, free or
reduced-rate lectures at the Art Worker's Guild in London, and
reductions on admission to conferences and workshops. For membership

The journal is also available by annual subscription to UK
individuals who are not paintings conservators, institutions in the
UK and worldwide, and individuals working outside the UK.  The rates
