Registration is open for the Waterlogged Organic Archaeological
Materials Conference (WOAM). The conference is being held in
Greenville NC May 24-29, 2010.  The program is packed with a number
of interesting presentation about the conservation of waterlogged
organics.  Sessions include: In situ preservation and reburials;
Degradation and stability studies-analytical techniques; Sulfur,
Iron, Alum and other inorganics in wood; and Analysis and
conservation of Fibrous and other organic materials. The Early bird
registration rate ends on Feb 28, 2010 and the registration fee goes
up somewhat at that point.
