Job Description:

Duties: The Paper and Textiles team provides high-level conservation
expertise to deliver targeted and prioritised conservation treatment
programs; exhibition design advice, installation and de-installation
services; and supports the activities of the Collections and
Research program. This includes participating in preventive
conservation programs such as remedial storage; training and
development activities; and research collaborations. The Paper and
Textiles team works closely with the Objects team and Technology
team in developing and co-ordinating the activities of the
Exhibitions program.

As Technical Officer, Paper and Textiles your primary
responsibilities are:

    Conducting condition assessment of paper and textile objects,
    under supervision, including electronic reporting and data base
    record entry relating to the Creating a Country permanent
    gallery

    Constructing exhibition mountings for paper and textile objects,
    under supervision, related to the Creating a Country permanent
    gallery

    Developing and contributing to productive relationships within
    Conservation

    Ensuring OHS needs are addressed at all times

    Undertaking other duties as requested.
