Environmental control

We are looking to develop the environmental controls aspect of our
Collections Management policy, specifically when it pertains to
equipment that malfunctions.  Do you include a timeline as to how
quickly the equipment needs to be fixed?  For example, how long the
collection can sustain when temperatures/humidities are too
high/low? When does permanent damage start to occur?  When is it an
emergency?
