Paintings Conservator
Fixed term: 18 months

The National Galleries of Scotland

Paintings Conservator to join our Conservation Department.  This is
an ideal opportunity for a dynamic individual to conserve and
preserve the works of art held in the National Galleries'
collection, and to support two magnificent projects, ARTIST ROOMS
and Portrait of the Nation.

With a post-graduate degree in conservation of easel paintings and
relevant work experience, you will have experience in practical
conservation treatments and in technical examination of works of
art.  Good organisational skills and the ability to work
independently are also essential.

Closing date for all applications is Friday 2 January 2009. It is
anticipated that interviews will be held on Thursday 15 January
2009.
