Adhesive for wood

This query is submitted on behalf of a cabinetmaker. He is making a
large table from one slab of bubinga wood. There is a crack that
ranges from invisible to about 1 mm wide, with some loss of wood,
extending in from the pale tan sapwood edge into the red heartwood
for a total length of about 50 cm.  What adhesive can he use for a
sawdust and glue fill that will bond to the tung oil finish on the
table surface *and in the crack*?
