Conservation internship Judd Foundation Marfa, Texas The Marfa TX office of Judd Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to maintain and preserve the late artist Donald Judd's (1928-1994) permanently installed living and working spaces, libraries, and archives in New York and Marfa, Texas, is looking for a Conservation Intern to assist the Conservator to Perform a conservation assessment of installed artworks for 8-10 weeks between June-September 2009. The intern will work under supervision of the conservator to examine artworks and create photographic documentation, write condition reports, treatment proposals, and enter data into the Filemaker Pro database. The ideal candidates will be currently enrolled in a Conservation Training Program. Organizational and research skills, thoroughness, ability to work independently and problem-solving capabilities are some qualities required for this project. Candidates should be willing to live in a small rural southwest Texas town for the period of the internship. Housing will be provided.
