36.5 Hours - Monday to Thursday and Friday morning

Salary: Grade 5, UKP21,681 - UKP25,888 p.a.

The Packaging and Display Section is a semi-commercial enterprise
which makes protective and display products for library, archive and
museum collections.

Due to expansion we are looking for a Technician / Supervisor to
take on the day-to-day supervision of seven technicians. This new
post will act as a single point of contact with the Section's
Manager on issues such as workflow, stock control, health and
safety, and personnel issues. You will also carry out the full range
of 'hands-on' manufacturing duties alongside the other technicians
using Kasemake machines.

To be successful in this post you need to provide proof of the
following attributes: the ability to build a positive team
environment and to supervise staff successfully whilst working
alongside them; high levels of manual dexterity; an aptitude for the
use of machinery; good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
programmes (including Access); and good numeracy skills.

The post is based in Abingdon. Hours of work will be 36.5 hours -
Monday to Thursday and Friday morning.
