Location: Perth Cultural Centre
Job Description:  To manage Conservation Services staff and
activities.

Selection Criteria:
Essential

    1.  A degree in materials conservation or approved equivalent
        degree qualification.

    2.  Significant experience working as a conservator, preferably
        in a library or archive.

    3.  Demonstrated knowledge and skills in conservation with a
        high level of understanding of conservation ethics as
        outlined in the AICCM Code of Ethics.

    4.  Proven high level of conceptual, analytical and innovative
        problem solving skills with a demonstrated ability to
        provide effective solutions to conservation problems and to
        apply new technologies.

    5.  Proven high level interpersonal and communication skills
        including the ability to liaise negotiate and consult with a
        wide range of clients.

    6.  Demonstrated ability to lead and manage people as
        individuals and as a team to achieve planned results, with
        strong commitment to mentoring and encouraging colleagues.

    7.  In the context of this role, have the ability to apply the
        principles of risk management, occupational health and
        safety, equal opportunity and diversity in the workplace.
