Subject: Conference on laser cleaning
National Museums Liverpool and the British Museum are jointly organising a 2-day laser cleaning conference, which will take place 19-20 November 2008 at the Merseyside Maritime Museum (Liverpool). The aims of the conference are to discuss and examine the current state of laser cleaning within the conservation field in the UK and Ireland. The conference will concentrate on the practical experiences of using lasers for cleaning heritage objects and will comprise a series of invited presentations, a site visit to the St. George's Hall plateau to see examples of laser cleaning stone and bronze monuments and ample opportunity for discussion. The number of delegates is restricted and we still have a few places remaining (there is no registration fee).
