Policy and procedures for historic medicines

From: Amber Tarnowski <amber.tarnowski<-a>
Date: Monday, October 20, 2008
In an effort to develop our own internal policies and procedures, we
are seeking sample policies and procedures from other museums who
have established guidelines for handling, storage, accountability,
and proper labeling of historic medicines/pharmaceuticals
(controlled and uncontrolled substances), medical kits, and medical
instruments (containing sharp components, needles, mercury, or
biological fluids). Samples for other government (especially
military) entities are especially sought.
