Subject: Water damaged photographic prints
I have received an inquiry from the museum's archivist to examine water damaged archive material. The material consists of 3 (paper) pages and 3 photographs (BW, possibly resin-coated) all stuck together due to past flood incident. The arrangement is page/photo/photo/photo/page/page. Having virtually no experience in the conservation of photographic material, I will probably forward the objects to an external specialist. However, a quick web research provided little in hands-on photograph conservation. I am looking for a summary of suggested techniques in separating water damaged photographs or a good bibliographic reference in order to have a general idea on the subject. Images of the objects can be found at <URL:http://www.flickr.com/photos/ 39745193Which is found in this domain_N00/sets/72157604217216533/> **** Moderator's comments: The above URL has been wrapped for email.
