What adhesive to use would depend on what prior treatment the leather received to make it pliable. PEG treatment makes it very difficult for any adhesive to work well. If PEG was used, the best thing would be to surface clean the area of any PEG residues really well before trying to adhere things. Otherwise, the PVA emulsions (white glue) usually works well with leather. B72 can work adequately at times too, depending on the circumstances.
