Subject: LightCheck
I have been asked to review the dosimeters we use in our galleries, and from the literature see that LightCheck <URL:http://www.lightcheck.co.uk/> has been a promoted as a replacement for blue wool dosimeters. Reading around the subject I see that there is a lot of literature on the initial LiDO Project, and post prints of presentation given at the ICOM-CC Conference in 2002 and 2005, and an article in the SSCR 2005 amongst others. However, what I can't seem to find is any information on institutions that have incorporated LightCheck into their environmental monitoring systems, and the pros and cons they have experienced. So my questions are; does anyone use LightCheck (both Sensitive and Ultra), what types of materials are they monitoring, is it easy to read, experiences both good and bad. The usual questions really.
